About this Seminar
Keep It Secret, Keep It Safe is an engaging and fun presentation designed to educate dental professionals and administrators on digital security and privacy compliance. It delves into Information Security first principles to provide the background required for the student to make informed decisions about security that affect the trade-off between confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information. Digital attacks and defenses will also be explored.
The lecture will also cover privacy concerns related to the collection, use, and disclosure of health information and how the Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) regulates dental professionals in Saskatchewan.
The lecture concludes with HIPA Compliance and 3 Simple Steps for building a secure digital operating environment for the dental, denture or hygiene practice. Attendees will also receive advice and tips for improving their own personal information security well.

Derek speaks on Information Security and HIPA Compliance in an effort to educate and improve compliance in the dental industry.
