About Richika J. Bodani

Partner

Richika is a Partner in the McKercher LLP Regina office with a practice focused on administrative, health, and insurance law.

Specifically, Richika focuses her practice on the representation of health professionals and insurers in complex disputes and appeals. She is an experienced advocate who regularly appears before administrative tribunals, regulatory bodies, and has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, including the Saskatchewan Court of King’s Bench, and the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal. She has also appeared before the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal.

In addition to her legal practice, Richika is actively engaged in the legal and broader community. She currently serves as Past-President of the Regina Bar Association and is a member of both the Canadian Bar Association and the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. Richika also volunteers with Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan, and is deeply involved in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives, with a particular focus on addressing Unconscious Bias in professional settings.

Richika currently sits on the Board of the University of Regina Rams Football Team, and historically has participated on the Boards for the Regina Folk Festival and the Rainbow Youth Centre.

In 2024, Richika began teaching as a Sessional Lecturer at the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina, where she teaches business law.

About Anthony D. Thera

Associate

Anthony is an associate in the McKercher LLP Regina office and maintains a general practice with a focus on professional regulation and civil litigation.

Anthony obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan in 2018. During his time at the University of Saskatchewan, Anthony participated in the Canadian Hockey Arbitration Competition and was a member of the Law Students’ Association.

Prior to attending law school, Anthony completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Regina, with minors in both Sociology and Philosophy.

Anthony is a council member in the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and is a reviewer member of the University of Regina Research Ethics Board. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, watching sports, and spending time with computers and other electronics.
